Uniko Countdown to Christmas Blog Hop

Saturday, November 28, 2015

Good morning! I'm so glad you stopped by today because we have the Uniko Design Team Countdown to Christmas Blog Hop! Since I didn't receive my Nov release stamps in time for release day (as well as a few others), Bev over at Uniko decided to put on this extra Design Team blog hop. So, please enjoy all the inspiration!

In addition to what Bev is sharing on the Uniko blog, she also has more projects HERE on the website blog. Make sure to check those out as well!!!

My first card uses many layers, a style I typically don't use since I'm a true CAS girl at heart ;) But I really wanted to try out the Viva Decor Mother of Pearl Modelling Creme with a stencil. Can you see it?? It's the layer with the shimmery dots! I absolutely LOVE this look!! I will definitely be using it on more cards. The trees are stamped on separate card stock and masked to make it look like the outlined tree is behind the other two. I LOVE that Merry Christmas font, don't you?!?!

Here, I have a mostly one layer card. The bells and poinsettia are both stamped separately and fussy cut. The bells were gold embossed and then watercolored with distress ink.

Remember, simply visit & comment along the hop by midnight Saturday, December 5th to be in the chance of winning the ENTIRE release! The WINNER will be announced Sunday, December 6th.

Nicki ----> That's Me!

  1. Stunning cards. I absolutely love the layered card and the shimmery dots are so pretty - it still has a really CAS feel. And I think the pretty bells are lovely - I do like the touch of sparkle! xxx

  2. That shimmery dotted card is just genius, looks really professional! Gorgeous cards Nicki.

  3. Love the shimmery polka dots (think I might need to locate some modelling creme!) & even though your card has layers it still has a CAS feel to it. Love the look of the masked trees too, must give that a go. Love the simplicity of the Jingle Bells card, it beautifully showcases the set. Thank you for an awesome showcase. Hugs Bev x

  4. Beautiful showcasing Nicki and that dotty paste background is simply gorgeous! Love the shimmer and classy design but I'm loving the CAS jingle one too with the stream of little stars!

  5. Stunning cards Nicki. Thanks for the inspiration.

  6. I certainly can see those shimmery dots. Great job! I thought it was printed paper.

  7. Both are lovely Nicki, I like the dotted pearls background, and the second one is beautiful with the yellow bells, great embossing.

  8. A duo of delights, Nicki! Bells and trees: two of my favourite Christmas motifs that you've showcased most beautifully here! You've created magic with this new release...

  9. Fab cards! Especially love the mother of pearl stencilled dots on the first one.

I'm so glad you came to visit me! I would love to hear your thoughts on my creations. It just makes my day! :)
