***QUICK NOTE: I AM NOW ON INSTAGRAM!
WOULD LOVE TO SEE YOU OVER THERE!**

Merry Christmas Eve everyone! I hope you have gotten all or most of your tasks done and are able to relax and enjoy this day with family and friends!

So have you heard about the three new "Flakey Friends" stamp sets from Honey Bee Stamps that are available for pre-order?!?! After having a chance to play with them this week, I'm telling you, they are MUST-HAVES! Just check out how cute this guy is...

I created a square card measuring 4.5" x 4.5". The red panel has snowflakes and bear paw prints heat embossed with white embossing powder. The bear, scarf, and gifts are stamped on watercolor paper and colored using Tim Holtz distress markers and a water brush. The hat is paper pierced and embellished with some Stickles. The sentiment was put together using several stamps, presents attached to the end of the tag, and popped up with foam tape (the circle is too). SUCH a fun card to make! I created this with intent to give to one of my toddler boys for Christmas. Gotta make another one 'cause I have twins!! :D

I'm entering this in one of my favorite challenges....RIC#98 Gucci. I have this awesome green and white striped paper that I thought was PERFECT to use for the bear's hat...just like the model is wearing! I had to incorporate the white against the red background, and I think it was a good choice! Love how this card turned out!

Uniko Background Builders Christmas Revisited Blog Hop!

Friday, December 11, 2015

It's a great day to stop by because it's the Uniko December 2015 Design Team Blog Hop (and giveaway)!!

So, this month we are taking a look back at a previously released product, dusting it off and giving it some love! Here is an image of the whole stamp set, Background Builders: Christmas.

I was in need of a House Warming card, so I decided to combine the stars in the BB set with the Home Sweet Home set. I'm really LOVING the look of those stars all lined up at the bottom! You can definitely get a lot of use out of them all year long. Can be used for baby cards, graduation cards, Independence Day, Memorial Day, and so on!

GIVEAWAY ALERT!! Simply comment on each blog along the hop by midnight Thurs, Dec 31st (GMT) for your chance to win the featured set or an eGift Certificate code to the same value if you already own it.

My First Honey Bee Stamps DT Post!

Thursday, December 10, 2015

Hello Honey Bee Stamps Fans!!!! I am SOOO beyond excited to be posting my very first Honey Bee project as a new DT member! WOOHOOOOO!! I'm so honored to be chosen for this fabulous team with this FABULOUS company. Looking forward to sharing my ideas and creativity with you ;)

This is the first time I've ever used Honey Bee stamps! They really are excellent quality and I enjoyed working with them.

My card uses two stamp sets: Cherish and Lotus Blossom. I am just in love with the font used for "cherish". Isn't it so lovely? And the lotus blossom...you really can't go wrong with flowers, right?

I started with the background and used watercolor paper, distress inks, and foam blenders to ink up the entire panel (Seedless Preserves, Mustard Seed, and Salty Ocean). Then, using a striped stencil and a baby wipe, I gently rubbed over the stencil to remove some of the ink. I learned this technique by watching one of Kristina Werner's Videos! SUCH an amazing technique, I can't wait to try it again.

Next, I heat embossed each flower, masking as necessary along the way. Finally, the sentiment was also heat embossed, and then a handful of Rainstones were randomly added for a special touch!

Hope you've enjoyed my project today. I can't wait to hear your thoughts and to share the next one!
