25 Days of Christmas Tags

Thursday, November 12, 2015

Hi there crafty friends! I'm excited to join in on a very exciting event happening in blogland this month called "25 Days of Christmas Tags". This is the 5th anniversary of this event, but my very first time participating as part of the Uniko Design Team. Thanks to Tracey McNeely for hosting and organizing this amazing event! We are on Day 11, but if you are just arriving for the first time, all the details and the linkup can be found HERE.

The MAIN event blog post is also where you will find the participate to win link-up!

Be sure to check out the The 25 Days of Christmas Tags 2015 Pinterest board! It's updated every day with all the inspiration from the event!

Ok so now onto my tag! To be honest, I don't make tags very often. I own very few tag dies. So, I kinda rigged this one lol. First I die cut the stitched rectangle from white card stock. Then, I used a border die and die cut it again on one end of the tag. I really love those scallops!

I stamped the greenery, flowers, and the sentiment. Then I ink blended the bottom half of the tag using distress ink and a foam blending pad. I felt like it still needed something, so I decided to give it a 'dipped' look, and embossed the edge with gold embossing powder. I'm loving that look!

To finish it off, I found some gold wired ribbon in my stash.

I hope you are enjoying all the fabulous tag inspiration from all the creatives out there! I am amazed by the detail on so many of them! SOOO inspirational!!

Welcome! You've reached the next stop on the DeNami blog hop. If you came from Sarah's blog, you're right on track! If not and you'd like to start at the beginning, head on over to the DeNami blog to get started!

I have created a paper ornament and a gift tag. I used this Tutorial for the ornament...it's really easy to do! I used a thinner kind of cardstock, and stamped the Starlet stamp repeatedly to get a patterned paper effect.

The next stop is the VERY talented Michele Gross! Thanks for the visit, and see ya around blogland!

Baby Tag

Wednesday, February 23, 2011

My mother-in-law asked me to make a Baby Tag for a shower gift. She sent me a picture of the gifts, and asked if I could match it. Of course I could....matching is one of my best talents, lol!! Pink and brown towels with multi-color polka dots. Well, I just so happened to have the perfect patterned paper for it! Tags are just so cute and so fun to make! I hope I get more requests like this in the future!

Papertrey November Blog Hop Challenge

Thursday, November 25, 2010

HAPPY THANKSGIVING TO ALL!!!
I hope you are having a WONDERFUL
day with family and friends.

Today I have a project to share with you that is for the Papertrey November Blog Hop. The challenge this time is to design a holiday tag or two (you must use at least one PTI product). Sooooo....here is my tag! I used one stamp from the Giga Guide Lines stamp set that resembled a snowflake. I randomly stamped and embossed it on the base with Silver Pearl EP. I also embossed the image using Burgundy EP Max as the focal point. Add a scalloped circle behind it, a pleated ribbon, and some silver cord, and you have yourself a pretty tag! Ok ok...I admit it. I am smitten with this tag!!! I'm pretty new to making tags and now I can tell you that I will definitely be making MORE of these soon! I had so much fun making this! Yippeeeee!

Thank you for stopping by! I love receiving comments so please be kind and let me know what you think about my creation. If you like my work, I also encourage you to become a follower ;-) Have a great holiday weekend!  *Click on photos for a larger view*
