Uniko Studio *Favorite* Revisited Blog Hop

Welcome to the Uniko Studio November Revisited Blog Hop! If you are following along in order, then you should have arrived here from Gayatri's blog. If not, feel free to head over to the Uniko blog to start from the beginning!

This month, Beverley asked all the design team members to choose their FAVORITE Uniko stamp or die set to feature on their blog. It was a tough choice (because there are so many Fabulous ones!), but I ultimately decided on Background Builders: Chevrons. Make sure to read through the end of this post for details on how you can win the stamp set!!

My hubby's birthday is coming up, so I thought it was appropriate to make a birthday card. I stamped 3 of the chevrons in 3 colors creating a repeating pattern for the "present". It is adhered to a dark blue panel and attached to the base with foam tape. The bow is from the Label Love: Birthday stamp set. The stars are taken from the All Occasion Sentiments #2 set...from the word "Awesome", fussy cut and adhered with foam tape.

One of my favorite parts of this card is the stamped background pattern on the card base. I used the same 3 ink colors as the present, and carefully and randomly stamped the "HAPPY" and the "BIRTHDAY" to create the look of patterned paper. I felt that it was a little too bold, so to soften the look of it, I cut a piece of vellum the same size as the cardstock base and adhered it with vellum tape. I really love the way it looks ;) What do you think?!

I'm so glad you came by to check out my creation. You will DEFINITELY want to continue the hop to see the design team's awesome work! Beverley is extremely generous this month and will be giving away one of EACH of the DT favorites...so that totals TEN winners! How incredible is that?!?! All you need to do for a chance to win is leave a comment on each of the blogs below by Thurs, Nov 14th. The winner for the Background Builders: Chevron stamp set will be announced here on my blog on Friday, Nov 15th (the winners for the other prizes will also be announced on their respective blogs). HAPPY HOPPING!! Your next stop is Ren-Yi.

  23. Wonderful interpretation of the Runway Inspired photo. Love the way you used the vellum to tone down the BG. I never think to do that, so thank you for the reminder!

How lovely of you to offer us a chance at the chevron stamp. You did not require us to follow in order to be eligible (which I GREATLY appreciate) but I am a brand-new follower of yours by Google Friend, nonetheless. Yippeee!!!
