I still can't believe this is actually happening.
**I AM A 2014 STAMPING ROYALTY WINNER!**
For those of you who aren't familiar with it, Paper Crafts & Scrapbooking Magazine holds a contest every year called Stamping Royalty. There are five categories (birthday, friend, thank you, season's greetings, congratulations), and to enter, you must create cards for any or all of those categories and submit them to a panel of judges.
This is the first year I entered, and I was DETERMINED to win. For several weeks, I worked my butt off creating cards during my boys' naps, and late at night when they were sleeping ;) I hate to admit this, but my house was a bit neglected during it!!!! My focus was on this contest. Well, I guess my hard work paid off!
When I got the email informing me that one of my cards was chosen in the Thank You category, my heart was racing like crazy. I was shaking. I WAS ECSTATIC!! I had to wait a few days before I could reveal it on my blog.
So here we are. I want to also congratulate the other ladies that have won as well (3 winners in each category). I cannot wait to see everyone's winning cards!
Here is one of the cards I submitted, but it's not my winning card. I cannot share that one until the July 2014 issue goes on sale, in early June.
I stuck to my usual CAS style on this card. Super simple and quick to make. I started with one of the stamps from Papertrey Ink's new set, Circle Scribbles, and stamped it repeatedly in the colors of the rainbow, overlapping the previously stamped circle. Then, the sentiment, from Uniko Studio, was stamped right on top of the circles, in the center. Easy Peasy.
So glad you stopped by today! Hope you'll come to visit me again sometime! :-)
Supplies:
Stamps: PTI - Circle Scribbles; Uniko Studio - All Occasion Sentiments #3
Cardstock: PTI - Rustic White
Ink: SU - Real Red, Green Galore, Bordering Blue; PTI - Orange Zest, Lemon Tart, Royal Velvet, Smokey Shadow
